Restaurant operators have long been forced to wait weeks for monthly bookkeeping just to understand their margins. Alpa changes that by integrating POS systems, banking data, and supplier feeds into a single live profit-and-loss view. Gross margin, labor costs, overheads, and profitability are visible in real time — no reconciliation or accounting workflows required.
The London-based startup raised a $3.5M pre-seed round led by Daphni, with participation from True Capital, 2100 Ventures, Firedrop, Oprtrs Club, Kima Ventures, and Sonorcap. Angel investors include Voodoo founder Alexandre Yazdi and Jérôme Tafani, the former Burger King France CEO and ex-McDonald's Europe CFO.
Built by Someone Who Knows the Kitchen
Anton Soulier was an early Deliveroo employee from 2014 to 2017, helping scale the platform during its breakout years. He went on to found Taster, a virtual restaurant brand platform that expanded to over 100 European cities. Through those experiences, he saw firsthand how restaurant groups drown in financial complexity — fragmented data, delayed reporting, and zero real-time visibility into what's actually profitable. Co-founder Jean-François Moy brings deep engineering experience from Vestiaire Collective, giving Alpa the technical backbone to integrate across POS, banking, and supplier systems at scale.
